Our Story
Vardanyan & Partners was founded in 2012 by Varuzhan Vardanyan and Nerses Isajanyan. The firm’s name reflects that founding partnership — a question we’re often asked and happy to answer.
In the early years, there were very few Armenian law firms with an online presence or English-language capability. By investing early in a professional website and digital outreach, the firm quickly began attracting international clients — entrepreneurs, expats, and diaspora Armenians — who needed legal support in Armenia but struggled to find responsive, English-speaking counsel.
What started as a general practice naturally evolved into a firm built around the needs of foreign clients. Today, immigration, corporate structuring, and tax compliance for international individuals and businesses form the core of our work. Over 14 years, we have handled more than 1,500 cases for clients from 97 countries — and the practice continues to grow as more people discover Armenia as a place to live, invest, and do business.
What We Do
Our practice covers the legal needs that international clients most commonly encounter in Armenia. These include residency and work permits, citizenship by descent and naturalization, business incorporation and corporate structuring, tax advisory and compliance, employment and labor law, and real estate transactions. We approach each matter with practical, solutions-oriented advice — not academic legal theory.
Why Clients Choose Us
Dual-qualified leadership. Our managing attorney holds an LL.M. from Georgetown University and is licensed to practice law in both Armenia (License No. 903) and New York (License No. 5148945). This dual qualification means we understand the expectations of clients coming from Western legal systems — and we meet them.
Responsive communication. We maintain a 24-hour response policy. When you’re navigating an unfamiliar legal system from abroad, timely guidance matters — and we take that seriously.
Multilingual team. Our attorneys and staff work fluently in English, Armenian, and Russian, ensuring clear communication regardless of your background.
A track record you can verify. With more than 1,500 cases handled since 2012 and a 4.9-star Google rating, our track record is documented and public. We encourage prospective clients to read our reviews before reaching out.
Our Approach
Every engagement begins with a free consultation — a conversation to understand your specific situation, goals, and timeline. From there, we provide a clear proposal outlining scope, process, and expected outcomes. There are no surprises.
We believe in building long-term partnerships, not completing one-off transactions. Many of our clients first come to us for a residence permit and later return for business registration, tax advisory, or real estate support. That continuity — understanding your full picture over time — allows us to provide better, more tailored advice at every stage.

Our Values
Reliability, transparency, and a genuine commitment to our clients’ success define everything we do. We know that reaching out to a law firm in a foreign country requires a leap of faith — especially when you cannot visit the office in person. We work to earn that trust through clear communication, honest timelines, and consistent follow-through on every matter we take on.
Whether you are relocating to Armenia, launching a business, applying for citizenship, or navigating regulatory requirements, our team is here to provide the expertise and support you need at every step.
