According to the report of the National Statistical Service, there was a growth in tourist arrivals in Armenia during the first three months of 2019.
During the period of January to March 2019, 364,489 people visited Armenia. Compared to the same period of last year, this number has increased by 5.2%, or 34,458 people.
At the same time, the number of people leaving Armenia for tourism purposes increased by 5.7% compared to the same period last year amounting 317,891.
Also, the NSS data show that the number of tourists hosted by hotel industry of the RA amounted 158,672 people (residents of the Republic of Armenia) for January-March 2019, which is 41.8% increase compared to the same period of 2018 (5.2% growth in tourist arrivals in Armenia in three months, panorama.am (11, June, 2019) (in English)).
