Lenughi is a village in Armavir province (Ararat Valley), at 890 m above sea level. It was established in 1928 as a state-owned farm ("sovkhoz"). It is currently a village with 472 households and a population of 1,672, engaged in gardening, fruit growing and cattle breeding. The "MAP" brandy and wine factory is located in Lenughi.


Summers are hot and clear; the winters are short, freezing, and partly cloudy; and it is dry year round. The hot season lasts for 3.5 months from June 3 to September 19, with an average daily high temperature above 28°C. The cold season lasts for 2.9 months, from December 1 to February 25, with an average daily high temperature below 9°C. The climate is dry and continental with annual precipitation of 250-300 mm.
