Sisavan, formerly known as Yengidzha, is a small town with around 2,300 inhabitants located in Ararat Valley, at 869 m above sea level. Most of the community lands used to be croplands, but now orchards and vineyards are prevalent. The locals are engaged in gardening, viticulture, vegetable growing. The Sisavan wine and brandy factory operates in the town.
