Georgia has achieved another record in tourism industry. In 2018, international visitors crossed the country's border about 8.7 million times (increase of 10%). Among them about 4.8 million visitors were tourists, which is an increase of 17% over the past year.
Georgia is visited mostly by the residents of neighboring countries - Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia. Income fro tourism in the first three quarters of 2018 amounted to USD 2,6 billion, which is a 7,6% share in the GDP of the country.
