Hong Kong Passport Holders Visiting Armenia

Visa Free Visits to Armenia for Hong Kong Passport Holders

On January 24, 2019, the Government of Armenia has made a decision to establish a visa-free regime for the holders of the passports of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China.

The new decision reassures the progress of Armenia-China relations and cooperation on an annual basis. It is expected that the decision will promote tourist flow from Hong Kong to Armenia, and will enhance trade and economic ties between the two countries.

The decision will enable Armenian and Hong Kong passports holders to enter one another’s territories without visas and stay there within the time frames specified by domestic law. According to foreign minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Armenians can stay in Hong Kong for 30 days without a visa. Nevertheless, 180-day visa-free stay in Armenia will be set for the holders of Hong Kong passports (Hong Kong Passport Holders Can Visit Armenia without Visa, NEWS.AM (Jan. 24, 2019).
