Minimum Consumer Basket in Armenia Increased by 6.4%
According to the National Statistical Committee the cost of the minimum consumer basket in Armenia increased by 6.4% in annual terms for the fourth quarter of 2018, reaching 733,363 drams.
According to the NSC, the minimum consumer monthly basket in the current average prices in Armenia was 61 113.6 drams per month.
At the same time, the food basket on a monthly basis in Q4 2018 compared to the same period in 2017 increased by 6.4% reaching 34,527.4 drams.
The minimum set of food products included in the consumer basket of Armenia, in particular, includes: bread products (the cost of the annual consumption rate per person is 75 439 drams), meat products (the annual consumption rate is 36.5 kg, the cost of the annual consumption rate per person is 119,001 drams ), potatoes (91.3 kg, 18 616.1 drams), fruits (73 kg, 31 149.1 drams), vegetables (109.5 kg, 19 173.5 drams), sugar (18.3 kg, 5 513.8 drams), dairy products (93 136.1 drams), eggs - (182.5 pcs., 12 026.8 drams), vegetable oil (7.3 l, 5 270.6 drams), fish (11 kg, 30 831.9 drams), margarine (3.7 kg, 4 171.8 drams ).
